Dr. Ramsey Smith is the latest family doctor to sign on to practice family medicine in Hastings County through our Family Physician Recruitment Program.

“We are thrilled that Dr. Smith has chosen to practice family medicine in Hastings County”, stated Warden Mullin. “He will be joining the Central Hastings Family Health Team in December and practicing in the Tri-Area Medical Centre in Madoc. There, he will take over the patient roster of Dr. Dullege, who is retiring.”

“I’m excited to be joining the Central Hastings Family Health Team to practice rural family medicine in Madoc starting this December”, stated Dr. Smith. “I look forward to establishing myself in the community and contributing to local healthcare. With both a rural upbringing and medical experience, I understand the importance of strong, community-focused care and am eager to bring that commitment to my work here.”

“We would like to thank Dr. Dullege for supporting our residents for the past 15 years and wish her well on her retirement”, said Warden Mullin. “We are fortunate to be able to have Dr. Smith take over the care of her patients.”

Dr. Smith is a recent graduate of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2023 and completed his Family Medicine Residency at Queen’s Medical School in May 2025. Dr. Smith is the 26th physician signed to our Family Physician Recruitment Program.
